ภาพถ่ายที่ส่งเข้าประกวดสามารถส่งได้ทั้งภาพที่ถ่ายโดยการใช้กล้อง Digital และกล้องบรรจุฟิล์ม ในกรณีที่ใช้กล้องบรรจุฟิล์มจะต้องนำฟิล์มไปสแกนเป็นไฟล์ภาพดิจิตอล
TYPE OF PHOTO Digital Image in color or in black & white. All digital files must be in JPEG format, and must be at least 2,500 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 2,500 pixels tall (if a vertical image).
ELIGIBILITY Open to THAI photographers ONLY, except employees of the Alliance Française Thailande or of the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand and the immediate families of such employees.
WHAT TO ENTER This photo contest is to celebrate the long-bonded relationship between Thailand and France. We are looking for striking and meaningful images depicting wonderful memories and experiences of people, places, lifestyle, and events around France.
HOW TO ENTER All photographs must be submitted through our photo submission website: www.rpst.or.th. Create your account and complete all required fields, including name, email, and other information about your photo submission. Digital images that are sent via mail or email will not be accepted.
DEADLINES Online entries can be uploaded starting 12.01 pm Thailand time on 1 November 2014. Deadline for submitting entries is 18.00 pm Thailand Time on 5th January 2015.
The Organizer reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.
WINNING PHOTOS The judging panel will select 23 prize winners with associated awards, as follows:
1st prize winner: 50,000 THB
2nd prize winner: 30,000 THB
3rd prize winner: 20,000 THB
20 Honorable Mentions: 5,000 THB Each
The organizer will select approximately 30 photos to exhibit at Cafe1912 and publish in the contest catalog.
ELIGIBILITY
The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, the Entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant.
Only online entries will be eligible. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest. The photograph need not be taken only with a digital camera, mobile phone and scans of negatives, transparencies or photographic prints are acceptable
The content of a photograph must not be altered in Photoshop or by any other means. No element should be digitally added to or subtracted from any photograph and the image must be a truthful representation of whatever happened in front of the camera during exposure. Retouching to eliminate dust and scratches is acceptable. Reasonable adjustments in Photoshop are acceptable. These include cropping, dodging and burning, conversion into grayscale, and normal toning and color adjustments that restore the authentic nature of the photograph. Frames or borders outside the image area are not allowed nor is text — digital or otherwise — allowed on the image. The panel of judges reserves the right to see the original (un-retouched) raw image files, negatives and/or slides. Any photographer violating these standards will be, at a minimum, disqualified from the contest.
Photograph that has appeared in any ‘stock photo’ agency, or that which is under contract with any other companies or persons is NOT eligible.
The Entrant retains your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, the Entrant grants the Alliance Francaise Thailande (and those authorized by the Alliance Francaise Thailande) a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed. Any usage of the photograph will include a photographer credit as appropriate. The Alliance Francaise Thailande will not be required to seek any approval in connection with such uses.
