สัมผัสประสบการณ์ภาคสนามในบรรยากาศจริง

พาลงพื้นที่ถ่ายในสถานการณ์จริงอย่างใกล้ชิดโดยทีมงานสมาคมฯ พร้อมแนะนำวิธีการผูกเรื่องราว การเลือกช็อตถ่าย การแก้ไขสถานการณ์ต่างๆ รูปแบบการวางคอมโพสที่น่าสนใจซึ่งนอกจากสวยงามแล้วยังสื่อสารเรื่องราวได้ (อาจมีการ Setup แบบให้ถ่ายย่อยๆ แยกออกไปนอกเหนือจากเหตุการณ์จริงตามสถานการณ์และเวลาที่เอื้ออำนวย) และเวิร์คซ็อปวิเคราะห์ภาพถ่าย

ประเพณีจุลกฐินแม่แจ่ม ถือเป็นหนึ่งในงานบุญเก่าแก่และมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของอำเภอแม่แจ่ม จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นหลังออกพรรษาในช่วงเดือน 11 ตามจันทรคติ

พบกันที่เชียงใหม่ 10-11 โมงเช้า - ทานอาหารเที่ยง และ “Workshop อบรมการถ่ายภาพวิถีชีวิต ประเพณี วัฒนธรรม ท่องเที่ยว #1” ในหัวข้อ “ถ่ายให้ใช่ เล่าเรื่องให้ถึง” เปิดประเด็นที่ช่างภาพมักมองข้าม เรียนรู้ทักษะการสร้างภาพถ่ายให้น่าจดจำ ที่สามารถนำไปปรับใช้ในการถ่ายภาพได้ทุกแนว

ช่วงบ่าย ถึง หัวค่ำ : พาลงพื้นที่ออกถ่ายภาพวิถีชีวิต วัฒนธรรม ที่ลำพูน ทั้งที่ศาสนสถาน และ บ้านเรือน ผู้คน รวมถึงองค์ประกอบของผลิตภัณฑ์ที่สำคัญของท้องถิ่น อาทิ อาหาร เครื่องนุ่งห่ม ฯลฯ เพื่อให้เข้าใจตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนการคิดซีน ไปจนถึงการถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวผ่านภาพถ่าย (Photo Storytelling) ในแบบมืออาชีพ

ช่วงเช้า : พาลงพื้นที่เก็บภาพกาดวัว ศูนย์กลางการค้าขายวัวที่สำคัญของเชียงใหม่ 

ช่วงสาย : เดินทางสู่อำเภอแม่แจ่ม เชียงใหม่ ในระหว่างทาง อาจมีการแวะถ่ายภาพตามจุดต่างๆ หากมีเวลาที่เหมาะสม เช่นท้องนาบงเปียงในช่วง ปลายฝนต้นหนาว หรือ พระธาตุบนดอยอินทนนท์ที่เพิ่งได้รับจากปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์

ช่วงบ่าย - ค่ำ : ตระเวนถ่ายวิถีชีวิตในช่วงเตรียมจุลกฐิน

ในวันนี้ ชาวบ้านจะเริ่มออกมาเตรียมตัวทำปั่นผ้าฝ้ายเพื่อถวายให้ทันในวันรุ่งขึ้น อาจมีพาไปถ่ายภาพแนววิถีชีวิตอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผลิตภัณฑ์ ที่โดดเด่นของพื้นที่ อาทิการทำปิ่นเงิน ฯลฯ ( ขึ้นอยู่กับเวลาและโอกาสที่เหมาะสม)

หมายเหตุ : มีเสวนาย่อยเพื่อเตรียมลุยถ่ายการแห่จุลกฐินในวันรุ่งขึ้น หากเวลาเอื้ออำนวย

 -- วันอาทิตย์ที่ 26 ตุลาคม 2568 -- Highlight ประเพณีแห่จุลกฐิน แม่แจ่ม หนึ่งเดียวของประเทศไทย

ช่วงเช้า - บ่าย : นำถ่ายขบวนแห่จุลกฐินกลางทุ่งนา หนึ่งเดียวของประเทศไทย และเก็บภาพขั้นตอนต่างๆ ของพิธีจุลกฐินที่เหลือ

ช่วงบ่าย - “Workshop อบรมการถ่ายภาพวิถีชีวิต ประเพณี วัฒนธรรม ท่องเที่ยว #2” ในหัวข้อ “การเลือกภาพ + วิเคราะห์เนื้อหาภาพ และ Visual Impact” พร้อม review และ วิเคราะห์ผลงาน จากผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม

ช่วงเย็น : นำทุกท่านสู่ตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ ไม่เกิน 2 ทุ่ม

Join us for a unique Photography Trip + Workshop designed to turn challenging angles into breathtaking shots! Experience real-life, on-location photography during the Julakatin Festival in Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai — one of Thailand’s most fascinating and spiritually rich traditions.

Learn the art of composing powerful storytelling photographs that capture local life, culture, and heritage — right at the heart of the event led by award-winning photographers recognized with numerous prestigious international and national awards. The program also features a photo analysis workshop where participants receive feedback on their own work.

Field Experience

Immerse yourself in authentic scenes guided by the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (RPST) team. You’ll learn how to develop narrative depth in your shots — from story planning and shot selection to real-time problem solving and creative composition that communicates meaning.

There may also be optional set-up scenes for practice, depending on time and festival conditions.

About the Julakatin Festival

The Julakatin Ceremony of Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai is one of the oldest and most distinctive Buddhist merit-making traditions in northern Thailand. Held annually after the Buddhist Lent (around the 11th lunar month), it reflects the deep cultural and spiritual roots of the local community.

Workshop #1: “Shoot It Right, Tell It Strong”
Learn how to capture memorable, story-rich images — exploring often-overlooked aspects of lifestyle, cultural, and travel photography.

Afternoon to Evening:
Field photography in Lamphun, exploring temples, local homes, and artisans. Capture cultural elements such as local crafts, cuisine, and traditional attire — from concept building to professional-level photo storytelling.

Saturday, 25 October 2025

Morning:
Photo session at Kad Wua Market, Chiang Mai’s traditional cattle trading hub.

Late Morning:
Travel to Mae Chaem District, with possible photo stops at scenic spots like Bong Piang rice terraces (late rainy season) or Doi Inthanon’s temples with newly restored landscapes.

Afternoon to Evening:
Document local life as villagers prepare for the Julakatin ritual — from cotton spinning to silverwork and other traditional crafts.
(Optional mini-workshop may be arranged in the evening, time permitting.)

Sunday, 26 October 2025 – Festival Highlight

Morning to Afternoon:
Photograph the Julakatin procession through rice fields — a one-of-a-kind event found only in Mae Chaem — and cover the remaining ritual stages.

Afternoon:
Workshop #2: “Image Selection, Content Analysis & Visual Impact”
A review and critique session where participants receive professional feedback on their captured works.

Evening:
Return to Chiang Mai city — program concludes by 7:00 PM.
